September!
Most of my friends, who are parents, are talking about how nice September is:
- A new school year
- Back to routine
- Back to school shopping
- No more heat
Me?
- We school year round
- I don't know how people hang out with kids all day *without* a routine!
- I refuse to shop more that twice a year (October and May). That shit is exhausting!
- I like the beach. My kids like the beach. I don't know how to talk to people who don't like the beach!
That being said, I think I am going to try this blog things again. Clearly that is due to the month being September.
Also, I spelled September as "Septmeber" for this whole post. Remind me to never be in charge of teaching my kids how to spell...
Before you read on.
- I am not a writer. There will be many photos and bullet points. I also use a lot of these things "..." and a lot of parenthesis.
- I think I am funny. I curse a little. If you're not into my humour I'm cool with that. We can still be friends.
- There will be no theme, no consistency, no sponsored posts, no continuity and no inspirational writing (see point #1). I plan to share anything that is too long to fit, reasonably, into a Facebook posts. I will share about our homeschooling day (because it is all consuming!), my parenting thoughts and other weird thoughts that pop up in my head.
- This blog will likely only last for a couple of months.
Today's thought:
I love picture books. I am a bit of a snob about picture books. A Charlotte Mason education introduced me to the term "twaddle" and now I look for even more picture books every where I go.
These are some of my favourite this month.
